Atacocha announced earnings and operating results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2014. For the quarter, revenues were USD 24.4 million and EBITDA was USD 5.5 million against revenues of USD 23.6 million and EBITDA of USD 3.8 million for the same period a year ago. EBITDA increased mainly due to the higher revenues and lower cash cost.

During the first quarter of 2014, Atacocha decreased its concentrate production by 8%, in comparison to that of first quarter of 2013, due to lower ore grades of zinc and copper. In addition, the silver content in the concentrates increased by 22% in first quarter of 2014, reaching 426,000 ounces in comparison to the 349,000 ounces obtained in first quarter of 2013, as a result of higher ore grades in the produced concentrates.
