Nuveen Municipal Income Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a diversified closed-end management investment company. The Fundâs investment objective is a high level of current income exempt from federal income tax, which the Fund seeks to achieve by investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of tax-exempt municipal obligations. Under normal circumstances, the Fund seeks to invest at least 80% of its assets in municipal securities and other related investments, the income from which is exempt from regular federal income taxes. The Fund generally invests in municipal securities with intermediate or long-term maturities. Its municipal securities include municipal bonds, notes, securities issued to finance and refinance public projects, and other forms of municipal bonds and securities. The Fund invests up to 20% of its managed assets in municipal securities that pay interest that is taxable under the federal alternative minimum tax. The Fund's investment advisor is Nuveen Fund Advisors, LLC.
