VS Energy International Ukraine LLC is still interested in acquiring PJSC Khmelnytskyoblenergo and Public joint-stock company Mykolayivoblenergo, according to President of VS Energy Mykhailo Spektor. VS Energy is also interested in acquiring remaining state-owned 25% stakes in regional power distributors where the group already holds large stockholdings, he said. Spektor also noted that the group was not going to give up and agree to a compromise in negotiations with other private stockholders in Odesaoblenergo Energy Supplying Company Open Joint Stock Company.

"We've got nothing to share there," he added. "It seems to me that the state has to get rid of them. With the level of administration we see there today, I believe that the Ukrainian state should decide to sell [them].

What is more, there were precedents, and many companies have been sold completely. As far as I know, they've conceptually decided to sell the remaining 25% [stakes]. It hasn't been formalized yet, the decision exists as a concept.

All the stakes will be put up for sale, but, in my view, these will be exchanges, rather than tenders," he added.
