(Progress of Disclosure Matters) Notice Concerning Internal Reorganization of Domestic Sales Functions through Company Split (Simple Absorption-type Split)

Olympus Corporation ("Olympus") hereby announces that the closing of an absorption-type split for the succession of the rights and obligations related to the domestic sales function of the medical business to succeed to Olympus Medical Science Sales Corporation was completed on October 1, 2021. The company split was originally announced in the "Notice Concerning Internal Reorganization of Domestic Sales Functions through Company Split (Simple Absorption-type Split)" dated February 12, 2021 and the "(Change of Disclosure Matters) Notice Concerning Internal Reorganization of Domestic Sales Functions through Company Split (Simple Absorption-type Split)" dated June 17, 2021.

Olympus Medical Science Sales Corporation has changed its company name to "Olympus Marketing, Inc." effective as from October 1, 2021.

After the completion of the company split, Olympus Marketing, Inc. aims to: realize flexible resource assignment, enhance cooperation with business partners, implement unified sales policy across Japan, and retain highly capable talent; and as a result, strengthen its sales function
