[Summary]

In the month under review, the number of customers visiting stores increased as the government lifted the state of the emergency for all prefectures as of the end of the previous month. In addition, sales of some autumn/winter clothing such as coats were strong in the second half of the month due to a decline in temperature. As a result, net sales at like-for-like stores (total) were 104.2% of the same month of the previous year. Net sales at all stores (total) exceeded those of the same month of the previous year at 100.2%, offsetting the impact of the closure of unprofitable stores implemented in the previous fiscal year as part of the global business reforms.

By sales channel, e-commerce net sales increased over the same month of the previous year for both like-for-like stores and all stores for the fourth consecutive month.
