Orbital Corporation Limited Receives Order from AeroVironment Inc. for Supply of Newest Heavy Fuel Engine

Orbital Corporation Ltd. announced it has received an order from AeroVironment Inc. for the supply of the Company's newest heavy fuel engine for assessment. In August 2022, the US Army confirmed AeroVironment had been awarded the Future Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System (FTUAS) Increment 1 Other Transaction Agreement for one JUMP® 20 system. FTUAS is the US Army's replacement program for the currently fielded RQ-7B Shadow UAS in ground manoeuvre brigade combat teams.

Orbital Corporation Limited is an Australia-based company, which is engaged in design, manufacturing processes and rigorous testing to deliver unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) propulsion systems and flight critical components. Its Modular Propulsion Solution (MPS) addresses a growing need within the tactical UAV market for aircraft to have the flexibility and versatility to adapt to varying end customer requirements and for the rapid deployment of those aircraft. It offers FlexDI, which is direct fuel injection technology able to offer an advanced Spark Ignition solution for UAV engines, including Gasoline, JP5, JP8 and JetA. The FlexECU platform has been developed to provide engine controllers to meet the varying requirements of engine applications. It provides engine development, testing, validation, production and refurbishment services in facilities located in Western Australia and Oregon, United States of America. It offers after-sale service, including servicing, repair and refit.
