Berlin/Thun/Oslo, 07 February, 2024 - Otovo, Europe's leading marketplace for
solar installations, today announces the launch of a partnership with Swiss
solar module manufacturer Meyer Burger Technology Ltd, starting in February.

This collaboration underlines the joint commitment to building a more resilient
and sustainable energy infrastructure in Europe. As part of this initiative,
Meyer Burger's high-quality solar products will be included in the Otovo
marketplace as a European, sustainable module alternative.

The partnership will encompass Germany from the start, and is planned to expand
Europe broadly thereafter. Germany is the first country in Europe to consider a
"resilience bonus" for EU made equipment as part of its "Solarpaket 1" (Solar
package one) which is scheduled for parliamentary procedure between 22 February
and 22 March of this year.

*Tradition meets digital innovation*
The alliance combines the traditional expertise of Meyer Burger with the agility
of Otovo. Meyer Burger contributes its high-quality solar modules manufactured
in Europe, while Otovo contributes its efficient and digital sales process. This
symbiosis enables both companies to leverage their individual strengths to serve
the European solar market more effectively and offer consumers a wider choice.

- Promoting European products together with a renowned company like Meyer Burger
is a great benefit for everyone who wants to drive forward the energy
transition. Meyer Burger's modules are a top product that we can bring to
consumers' roofs in the shortest possible time with the help of our strong
digital network of installers, comments Artur Schreiber, Managing Director
Germany at Otovo, on the partnership.

- Thanks to the partnership with Otovo, buying a solar system with Meyer Burger
modules is almost as easy as ordering shoes online. End customers can buy a
Meyer Burger solar system immediately with just a few clicks. The partnership is
therefore a fundamental contribution to resilience in the European energy
market, says Gunter Erfurt, CEO of Meyer Burger.

*Driving the European energy transition*
The companies' commitment results in accessible "Made in Europe" solar energy.
It marks a fundamental step towards strengthening resilience and performance in
the European solar industry. To further drive this transformation, additional
policy measures are needed to ensure fair market conditions and promote local
value chains.

- We believe Europe needs a two lane approach in order to ensure deployment of
green solutions at scale and at the same time strengthen its R&D and
manufacturing capacity. Consumers need to be encouraged to take the right steps
for the future, says Andreas Thorsheim, CEO of Otovo.

*About Otovo*
Otovo is a Europe-wide marketplace for solar panels and batteries to rent or
buy. The solar platform's digital-first approach enables customers to quickly
find the best offer for them. Using proprietary technology, Otovo analyzes
roofs, connects to hundreds of local installers in Germany and automatically
searches for the best deal. As a result, Otovo guarantees flexible and
transparent pricing.

*About Meyer Burger*
Meyer Burger has been shaping the solar world for more than 40 years using
innovative technologies for improved efficiency. A large proportion of the
photovoltaic modules produced worldwide today are based on technologies
developed by Meyer Burger. Cells and photovoltaic modules of Meyer Burger are
