Nelson Tan appointed General Manager of Pan Pacific Xiamen

Nelson brings more than 15 years of business development, operations and management experience amassed in Switzerland, Australia, Singapore and China.

Singapore, 8 June 2016 - Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Nelson Tan as General Manager of Pan PacificXiamen, located in one of the most vibrant and modern coastal cities in southeast China.

Nelson joins the Group from his role as Resident Manager of the expansive 940-room Carlton Hotel Singapore. A seasoned Singaporean hotelier, Nelson has more than 15 years' experience in business development, operations and management in the hospitality sector, having held several leadership positions at hotels in Switzerland, Australia, Singapore and China.

In particular, Nelson was based in China for five years before returning to Singapore. During his stint in China, he was instrumental in driving business development and pre-openings for hotels under the Shangri-La, Conrad and Hilton brands.

As General Manager of Pan Pacific Xiamen, Nelson will oversee and manage the daily operations of the property, which is located just 20 minutes away from the Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport. The hotel offers 354 guestrooms and 25 serviced suites with spectacular views of the city's coastline. A discreet, modern retreat at the heart of the financial and entertainment district, the hotel features a comprehensive range of amenities including a popular steakhouse, a fine-dining Chinese restaurant, an award-winning spa and eight flexible meeting spaces spanning over 1,000 square metres.
