Singapore, 27 March 2014 - Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital (MNH) will be expecting its first baby at its newly launched all-single-room maternity ward on 28 March 2014. This makes MNH the first hospital to launch maternity services in Singapore in the last 16 years. Over the years, Mount Elizabeth Hospital (MEH) has seen a rising proportion of its mothers giving birth opting for single rooms. In 2003, 51.36% of all maternity cases at MEH were housed in single rooms. In 2013, this number shot up to 80.39%, an increase of about 30 percentage points. This new
12-room maternity ward at MNH will help meet this rising demand. With its unique all-single-room setup, MNH will be the only hospital in Singapore that guarantees a single-room experience throughout the birthing experience.

This hospitality extends to the patient's family and friends as well. Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital's maternity packages start from S$3,060 for a 28-sqm standard single room and include a 2-night stay, food and lodging for one accompanying family member and complimentary parking for the family.
