On July 9, 2012, Thomas G. Stevenson resigned as the Chief Executive Officer, President and Chief Financial Officer of Peoples Bancorp, Inc. and of Peoples Bank. In connection with Mr. Stevenson's resignation, the Board appointed H. Lawrence Lyons to serve as the interim Chief Executive Officer, President and Chief Financial Officer of the company and the Bank. Mr. Lyons has served as an Executive Vice President of the company and of the Bank since May 23, 2001. In that capacity, he has been in charge of operations and has managed the Bank's non-deposit product sales program. Prior to May 2001, he served as Senior Vice President of the Company and of the Bank.
Peoples Bancorp Inc. is a financial service holding company for The Peoples Bank (the Bank). The Bank offers banking, trust and investment, insurance, premium financing, and equipment leasing solutions through its subsidiaries. Its personal banking services offers checking, savings, borrow, opening a new account, ordering checks and other services. Its business banking services offers checking, savings and treasury management. The Bank offers deposit services and loans to individuals, small businesses and government entities. Its other services include direct deposit of payroll and social security checks, automated teller machine services, money orders and online banking with bill payment service. It offers a range of insurance products, including property, casualty, life, marine, long-term care, and health insurance. The Bank has operation in approximately 130 locations, including 113 full-service bank branches in Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Virginia, Washington D.C. and Maryland.
