Photon Energy NV published its monthly investor report for April 2018. Thanks to the good weather and an abundance of sunny days in April the monthly aggregate electricity production exceeded the forecasts by over 21% across the company's proprietary portfolio. Furthermore, the first Hungarian power plant in Fertőd has been added to the production report.

Photon Water announced receiving a 50% subsidy from the Czech Development Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic for the implementation of its water treatment plants in small and medium-sized municipalities in Peru. The entire project is expected to be realized by 2020 and to cost CZK 9.637 million (EUR 380,000), of which 4.819 million (EUR 190,000) will be covered by the Czech Development Agency's subsidy.

After the reporting period Photon Energy released its financial results for 2018 Q1 highlighting the company's record revenues and a EUR 1.89 million net profit. In early May KFM Deutsche Mittelstand AG announced that it had invested EUR 1.5 million in the Photon Energy corporate EUR Bond 2017/22 via its fund dedicated to SME corporate bonds.
