Posiflex Technology Inc., a provider of point-of-sale systems and online-to-online solutions, has introduced a POS terminal that features a clamshell design for retail and hospitality locations, according to a press release. Through its hinged, screwless, modular design, the Haydn ZT Series allows the user to lift the monitor, offering access to internal modular components for easy repairs, replacements and upgrades.

Powered by a Intel Tiger Lake or Elkhart Lake CPU, the ZT series utilizes a die-cast aluminum chassis design for easy cooling without the need for fans. IP44 protection is also built in to protect against dust, dirt, grease and spills.

To further ensure uninterrupted operation and services, the Posiflex ZT Series incorporates a hidden I/O design that prevents connection to untrusted devices, thus preventing any possible data corruption. The USB ports are protected by a locking mechanism to prevent unauthorized data transfer and virus infection.

Additionally, the power supply is hidden in the base and a 3-way cable management system keeps the desk organized.

To accommodate various types of environments, the ZT series offers 15-inch or 15.6-inch PCAP flat touchscreen monitor options along with multiple desktop and wall mounting options. The series also supports a zero- to 90-degree swivel hinge design.

Select models are equipped with 24V PoweredUSB, expanding connectivity options. The terminals can be complemented with dedicated side accessories to provide features including retained ports for integration with fingerprint sensors/i-Button, MSR and RFID devices and a second display with internal scanner.
