The supervisory board of PZU has announced the dismissal of the insurance group's helmsman Michal Krupinski as CEO and named supervisory board member Marcin Chludzinski as acting CEO for an up to three-month period. The decision is effective immediately.

The company has reached an agreement with its trade unions on the earlier announced employment restructuring including laying off of up to 956 staff. In total, the employment restructuring, which will also involve changes of the terms of employment, will affect up to 1,944 employees of PZU and its life insurance unit PZU Zycie. The group layoffs will take place between 24 March 2017 and 18 December 2017. The financial package for those leaving will depend on their wages and time of work for the company.
