PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Car Provides Health Services to the Community in Karimun Regency, Hundreds of People Have Experienced the Benefits

KARIMUN -- PT Timah Tbk continues to support efforts to improve the quality of health for communities around the mine. Through the CSR program, PT Timah Tbk provides free health services in Mobil or Oto Sehat.

Free health services at Mobil Sehat PT Timah Tbk also serve the community on Kundur Island, Karimun Regency, Riau Islands Province. During 2023, it is recorded that around 700 residents have utilized health services from members of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding.

PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Car provides health services for people in Karimun Regency such as Tebing District and Kundur Barat District.
The presence of the PT Timah Tbk Healthy Car was also enthusiastically welcomed by the public.

PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Car is a free health service from PT Timah Tbk which comes directly to hamlets and villages to provide health services and health consultations for the community.

Apart from providing health services to the community, PT Timah Tbk also provides education about handling stunting for the community and provides additional food for children.

One of the community members who has utilized health services from the PT Timah Tbk Healthy Car Program, Abeng (72), a Gemuruh resident who received health services at the PT Timah Tbk Healthy Car, admitted that he was very happy with the presence of healthy cars in their village.

He himself had complaints such as swelling in his legs so he couldn't move.

"I am happy and helped by the presence of healthy cars in our village, so that to get health services you don't have to go far, especially now that my condition doesn't allow me to go far because my legs hurt," he said.

Likewise, Rohani (62) is grateful for the presence of PT Timah Tbk's healthy car, apart from providing free health services, they also get medicine.

"The medicines are also good and the distance from home is also close. Hopefully next time PT Timah Tbk's healthy car can return to our village," She explained.

Gemuruh Village Secretary Riduan expressed his appreciation to PT Timah Tbk for bringing healthy cars to Gemuruh Village so that their residents can experience health services closer.

"Hopefully with this free health service, the community can feel the company's contribution directly. Thank you PT Timah for bringing healthy cars to our village, hopefully, the people of Gemuruh Village can be helped and also become healthier," he said.

The same thing was conveyed by Jamiah (76) who suffered from feeling short of breath and aching in the joints and often relapsed in the middle of the night. and if you go to the health center for treatment, it is quite far away.

"Usually I check my health at the Community Health Center and the distance is quite far to travel. So coincidentally there was free treatment here so I came," said the resident of Mata Air Kundur Village.

Meanwhile, West Kundur Subdistrict Head Yusufian appreciated PT Timah Tbk's concern for paying attention to the health sector which is implemented sustainably through the PT Timah Tbk Healthy Car.

"Hopefully the presence of PT Timah Tbk in the West Kundur community will be able to make a real and tangible contribution so that the positive impact will make the community feel the benefits of the company's presence," he said. (*)
