Rosseti FGC UES provides extra power to BAM facilities in western Khabarovsk Territory

03/31/2022

Rosseti FGC UES (FGC UES PJSC) modernized the Suluk 220 kV substation to increase the capacity of outgoing 35 kV transmission lines. This allowed for an additional output of 6.7 MW for railway transport facilities located in Verkhnebureinsky District of the Khabarovsk Territory. The substation's hookup peak amount is 7.2 MW.

Two feeders have been upgraded at the 35 kV switchyard. Six new Russian-made current transformers were installed, characterized by an increased transformer ratio and a long service life (30 years). This equipment provides transmission of information to measuring instruments, protection, automation, alarm and control devices and is designed for use in commercial metering circuits in AC electrical installations.

The project also included the installation of modern microprocessor-based relay protection and emergency control devices, the benefits of which are versatility and reliability.

In the Far East, Rosseti FGC UES is implementing a number of projects aimed at increasing the throughput capacity of the Eastern Domain of Railways. In 2021, a new 250-km power transmission line was put into operation in Primorsky Territory from Lesozavodsk to Spassk, as well as a 220 kV Nakhodka substation with a transformer capacity of 126 MVA and 220 kV overhead cable and transmission lines Lozovaya-Nakhodka and Shirokaya-Nakhodka, with a total length of 37.2 km. This will improve the reliability of power supply to existing consumers in Primorsky Territory and create an opportunity to increase traction loads at the facilities of Russian Railways as part of the project to implement Phase I of the Eastern Domain capacity expansion.
