09-24-2014 Repower Schweiz AG and Repower AG to merge

In recent months Repower has been progressively simplifying its legal structures in Switzerland and Italy. Notably it has transferred a number of legal entities to Repower Schweiz AG. Now it is embarking on a further step in this streamlining process: in early 2015, effective retroactively to 1 January 2015, Klosters-based Repower Schweiz AG is to merge with Poschiavo-based Repower AG. This means the registered office in Klosters will be discontinued. Like the measures already taken, this move is designed to reduce complexity and thus boost efficiency. It will have no effect on customer relationships or other obligations, so it will not involve any job cuts.

Repower has also taken measures to simplify internal processes by making better use of its real estate. This includes the decision to rent out the entire premises in Klosters. Repower already rents out parts of its premises in Klosters to outside parties. The 25 people working there will be relocated to Küblis (grid, reception and caretaker and cleaning services) and Landquart (sales and marketing). There are plenty of modern workspaces available at the recently renovated Küblis power plant, and as already announced Repower will be moving into the new Business Centre in Landquart, currently under construction, at the end of 2015.
