Rhino Resource Partners LP is a limited partnership, which is formed to acquire Rhino Energy LLC (the Operating Company). The Operating Company produces and markets coal from surface and underground mines in Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia and Utah. The majority of sales are made to electric utilities, coal broker, domestic and non-United States steel producer, and other coal related organizations in the United States. In addition, the Operating Company is focused to sell to the United States export customers through broker and direct end-user relationships.
