The newly established facility will be the central production site for Ricoh's office printing machines. It will also contribute to further enhancing our superior quality by using advanced analytics of sales and production data, and installing cutting-edge robots and factory automation. This will also facilitate efficient production of customized products which is today carried out regionally. Additionally, by unifying production data and data from the office machines operating at our customer's locations, we will also be able to further enhance the machines' quality.
Moreover, the new factory will be the most advanced factory within the Ricoh Group in terms of environmental performance. It will contribute to achieving a decarbonized society through the installation of solar energy systems, displacement ventilation systems, natural lighting and natural ventilation.
Ricoh announced its growth strategy 'Ignite' in February 2018, and is working towards its three growth strategies: 'Evolve MFPs, enhance our operations and secure our customer base ', 'Expand our customer base by pursuing possibilities of printing technologies ' and 'Add Ricoh-oriented value to our customer base, and connect offices & frontlines '.
The new company will establish this flagship factory to deliver on growth strategy #0, and by accelerating our digital manufacturing capabilities, it will contribute to increasing business efficiency resulting in enhanced 'operational excellence'.
