MRSK Tsentra : The next safety day held at Kurskenergo

The next safety day was held at IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division. The purpose of this event is to prevent occupational injuries and increase the production culture at energy facilities.

In all Distribution Zones of the branch the commission consisting of heads of the technical unit and specialized services of the executive office of Kurskenergo summed up the results of measures taken to eliminate the shortcomings revealed during the previous safety day, checked the documentation, the quality and timeliness of briefings, the implementation of the rules of safety and labour discipline in the workplace.

Particular attention was paid to checking the availability with the staff of uniform clothing, protective equipment, necessary materials for safe work. Also, vehicles were inspected for transporting people for their technical condition, presence of emergency stop signs, first-aid kits, fire extinguishers and safety belts.

For the electrical personnel, emergency instructions were provided to ensure safety during the post-failure inspection of overhead lines (Conductors) and the procedure for organizing emergency repairs to the overhead lines. At practical trainings the staff worked out the skills of conducting targeted instruction and formalizing the work permit.

At the end of the safety day Kurskenergo developed a list of measures to eliminate the identified violations. Verification of their implementation will be carried out in preparation for the next safety day.
