Sýn hf. announced consolidated earnings results for the second quarter and half year ended June 30, 2021. Revenue for the second quarter of 2020 amounted to ISK 5,289 million, a decrease of ISK 98 million compared to the same period in 2020. Loss in the second quarter of 2021 amounted to ISK 117 million, compared to ISK 60 million in second quarter 2020. For the first half 2021, the company reported revenue for the first half of 2021 amounted to ISK 10,289 million, a decrease of 1.2% compared to first half of 2020. This decrease can mainly be traced to a 650 million decrease in revenues of Endor. Loss for first half of 2021 amounted to ISK 348 million compared to ISK 410 million in first half of 2020. A loss of ISK 179 million was recognised in first half of 2021 in relation to the sale of the Company‘s share in its Faroese associate Hey.
