COMUNICATION Sacyr Concesiones closes refinancing of Vallenar-Caldera route for eur 89 million

Sacyr Concesiones has successfully closed funding for the Vallenar-Caldera Route, managed by the Valles del Desierto concession company, for USD 106 million (EUR 89 million).

Funds will be used to refinance current debt and optimize the project's repayment profile, in accordance with cash generation and concession term estimates.

The operation, signed with Banco Estado de Chile (same creditor of refinanced debt), constitutes further recognition on the part of local financiers of Sacyr's experience and the favorable evolution of the Group's business.

Sacyr in Chile

Sacyr's presence in Chile dates from 1996, when it was awarded the first contract to build and operate the Los Vilos-La Serena highway. Since then, it has invested nearly USD 6.5 billion in various projects, including two airports and 15 concessioned routes, totaling more than 2,000 km. of roadway. In hospital infrastructure, Sacyr has been awarded six hospitals, totaling over 2,400 beds and nearly 629,000 m2.

Since 2020,Sacyr Concesiones Agua has operated four integral water cycle management companies in the Antofagasta and Metropolitan regions, providing service to more than 150,000 residents, with a projected business portfolio in excess of USD 550 million (EUR 460 million).
