Michele Melotti has been appointed as Safilo's new cfo

(Alliance News) - Safilo Spa announced Monday that its board of directors has appointed Michele Melotti as its new cfo effective Aug. 28.

Melotti holds a bachelor's degree in business economics from the University of Modena and e Reggio Emilia and then a master's degree in general management from the University of Bologna. He began his career at KPMG Advisory S.p.A. and later joined Safilo Group in 2012, where in his 11 years at the company he took on roles of increasing responsibility within the Finance and Accounting function.

In fact, in 2016 he was appointed Senior Director Finance & Accounting Western Europe & Global Accounts and since 2019 he has held the current position of Senior Director Group Controlling.

Safilo closed Friday's session in the green by 0.9 percent at EUR1.14 per share.
