SAMSUNG HEAVY INDUSTRIES CO., LTD. □ Samsung Heavy Industries announced on 22 that it has received one marine production facility order from an Asian shipowner.
The contract amount is KRW 1.9611 trillion (about $1.5 billion), 29.6% of sales in 2021, and the facility will be delivered by August 2027.
□ "This contract is a marine project that has been clinched for the first time in three years since the Indian Reliance's RUBY FPSO order in 2019, and it will help secure stable marine work", said an official from SHI.
□ This marine production facility will be counted as an order placed in 2023 as the construction will start from January 2 ,2023. As a result, SHI has secured $1.5 billion in advance and is expected continue to receive more orders next year.
※ 2022 order performance: 49 ships, $9.4 billion (107% of its target at $8.8 billion)
