Herman Gref, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank, and Nizhny Novgorod Region governor Gleb Nikitin have held a business meeting to discuss some regional development initiatives to be run ahead of Nizhny Novgorod's 800th anniversary.

Sberbank helps the local government with digital transformation and finances several projects. Among them are a fountain, which is set to be constructed with assistance from Sberbank, and the renovation of the premises where the fountain will be located.

Healthcare uses digitization projects to reduce the burden on hospitals and clinics in the region. These are SberHealth telemedicine services; Voice2Med, which is a voice-to-text solution for data entry in health records; and PACS, a medical image storage and processing system uniting all findings across medical institutions into a single digital environment. Gleb Nikitin and Herman Gref discussed the use of these Sber platform solutions in Nizhny Novgorod Region.

As to the development of education, stakeholders are building a general educational complex School 800, and there's the SberClass school digital platform, which operates in 185 schools in the region.

Helping and supporting local digital transformation is one of Sber's top priorities. I am happy that our cooperation with Nizhny Novgorod Region is becoming more and more fruitful, affecting the most important social aspects. The cutting-edge technologies that Sber has today and the solutions based on them, along with the unique services and products can change the quality of life for the region and each local resident.

A new stage of mutual work with Nizhny Novgorod Region will be the development of AI solutions and their use, which help customize our offerings. Healthcare is a top priority for us, and its development affects the quality of life directly. Our programs are aimed at solving several problems of the healthcare system, such as accessibility of medical services, medical care enhancement, convenience for patients and doctors, and higher efficiency.

Herman Gref

CEO, Chairman of the Executive Board, Sberbank

Sber's digital solutions speed up the processing of data obtained during diagnosis and make the latter more efficient. We're currently updating medical equipment in local hospitals on a large scale. In 2020 alone, as many as 17 new CT machines were purchased, and most of them are being used outside the capital. Thanks to data exchange, we can establish a diagnosis based on harmonized standards.

Gleb Nikitin

Governor, Nizhny Novgorod Region
