Sberbank of Russia : Tax refund service for free if you open PIA with turn-key strategy

Clients who open a personal investment account (PIA) at Sber Asset Management with the Nakopitelnaya (Saving) strategy or the Rossiyskiye Aktsii (Russian Shares) strategy will receive a tax refund service as a gift, and as soon as in the spring of 2021 they will enjoy a tax refund of up to RUB52,000.

To take part in the campaign you need to:

• open a PIA via SberBank Online between December 1 and December 31, 2020
• deposit RUB10,000 or more into your PIA.

You can open a PIA using the SberBank Online app in just a few clicks:

• press '+' against the Investments and Pensions section on the home page
• choose a strategy page and press 'Open'.

PIAs are 1% more affordable online than in branches because you're not charged an 'entry' fee. You can deposit into your account any time, with deposits starting from RUB10,000.

After opening a PIA, customers get a free tax refund service under the campaign terms:

• at the beginning of 2021, they will receive a notification with instructions on how to get the free service and have the 3-NDFL declaration filled out (for more information about the service for filling out a tax return form, call 900 or follow the link)
• the service can be used once before December 31, 2021, after receiving instructions
• the promo doesn't apply to PIAs opened at branches of Sberbank PJSC and Sber Asset Management AO.

The Russian Shares strategy invests in shares of Russia's biggest and most promising businesses. You invest in shares and bonds by acquiring shares in mutual funds run by Sber Asset Management.

With a PIA you are guaranteed to get a tax refund of up to RUB52,000 a year if you are employed officially, no matter the price fluctuations of your securities.
