Swiss National Bank, SNB, has hired a new head for its operations in Singapore. The central bank has appointed a foreign exchange and gold specialist as the new head of its Singapore trading floor. The bank uses the Asian office to maintain the Swiss franc's strength. Martin Schlegel was named as the bank's head in Singapore. He was formerly head of foreign exchange and gold at the SNB and is to take the place of Roman Baumann, who returned to Switzerland earlier this month as head of money market operations.
