Seiko Epson Corporation announced that a meeting of its board of directors had approved the following change of representative director. Director, Senior Managing Executive Officer (representative director) Shigeki Inoue will retire for personal reasons, and will be replaced as representative director by Director, Senior Managing Executive Officer Koichi Kubota. The company announced retirement of Shigeki Inoue (currently Director, Senior Managing Executive Officer (representative director), and General Administrative Manager of the Corporate Planning Division) and appointment of Koichi Kubota, Director, Senior Managing Executive Officer (representative director), and Chief Operating Officer of the Printing Solutions Operations Division (currently Director, Senior Managing Executive Officer, and Chief Operating Officer of the Printing Solutions Operations Division) as representative director of the company. All the changes are effective October 1, 2018.
Seiko Epson Corporation specializes in the design, manufacturing and marketing of printing, visual communication and watchmaking equipment and systems, and industrial devices. Net sales break down by family of products as follows:
- printing equipment (71%): printers, scanners, copiers, digital presses, fax machines, ticket printers, labellers, etc. for businesses and individuals. The group also offers consumables (ink cartridges, toners, ribbons, etc.);
