Epson Named First Printer Supplier for the Hong Kong Government's "i Learn at home" Program
In August, Epson Hong Kong announced that it had been appointed by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer as the first printer supplier for the Hong Kong government's "i Learn at home" internet learning support program. This meaningful program aims to help students from low-income families in Hong Kong undertake web-based learning at home and improve their school performance.
New service arrangements to enhance
"i Learn at home" Programme were announced

Epson was delighted to receive the invitation to assist the printing needs of students from low-income families doing homework or online research at home. In the 2013-2014 academic year Epson will make an affordable offer to more than 200,000 eligible families to purchase either the Epson L300 and the Epson WorkForce WF-2531 multi-function inkjet printer. Eligible families can contact the program implementers, namely The Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong and WebOrganic for inquiries and purchases.

The "i Learn at home" is a five year program, initially launched on July 14, 2011. A mid-term review was completed after two years of implementation and recommended that printers were added to the program to help the learning needs of students.
Epson is looking forward to working closely with The Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong and WebOrganic and providing program participants with a low-cost and reliable printing solution.
Seiko Epson Corporation specializes in the design, manufacturing and marketing of printing, visual communication and watchmaking equipment and systems, and industrial devices. Net sales break down by family of products as follows:
- printing equipment (71%): printers, scanners, copiers, digital presses, fax machines, ticket printers, labellers, etc. for businesses and individuals. The group also offers consumables (ink cartridges, toners, ribbons, etc.);

- watches and industrial products (14.1%): electronic and mechanical watches, wristwatches, chronometers, optoelectronic devices, precision machine tools, robotic systems, mechatronic products, micro-devices, etc.
- other (0.7%).
At the end of March 2021, Seiko Epson operated 27 production sites worldwide.
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Japan (22.3%), the United States (21%), China (14.5%) and other (42.2%).
