ASX Announcement 14 August 2017 SEYMOUR WHYTE AWARDED ADDITIONAL CONTRACTS ON WOOLGOOLGA TO BALLINA - PACIFIC HIGHWAY UPGRADE

Seymour Whyte Limited (ASX:SWL) (The Group) is pleased to announce that Seymour Whyte Constructions has been awarded additional packages of work on the Woolgoolga to Ballina - Pacific Highway Upgrade, valued at

$136 million in total to the Group.

The $163.3 million Section 3 - Main Civil Works contract was awarded to Seymour Whyte Constructions and Ostwald Brothers in a 50/50 joint venture, worth $81.65 million to the Group. It comprises the bulk earthworks and civil works that follow Seymour Whyte Constructions' current Wave 5A early works contract for the 35 km greenfields alignment between Glenugie and Tyndale in northern New South Wales.

The $54.5 million Section 3 - Bridge Structures contract is in the same area, and will see Seymour Whyte Constructions deliver 20 bridges, the largest of which is a 19-span twin bridge over the Coldstream River.

Seymour Whyte Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer John Kirkwood said the timing of these new packages would allow continuity of many of the company's staff already mobilised on the current Wave 5A early works project.

"We are able to offer our client additional value through reduced mobilisation costs and more importantly, a core team that is already aligned to the project culture and well-placed to quickly achieve positive outcomes."

In addition to the two contracts above, Seymour Whyte Constructions was also recently awarded a $9.5 million contract to upgrade an adjacent local road for the Grafton Correctional Centre project.
