Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has imposed fines on several oil companies for not maintaining required oil reserves as petrol crisis rages across country.

According to the documents received by Dunya News, Hascol Private Limited, Puma Energy Pvt. Ltd and Gas and Oil Pakistan Limited have been fined Rs5 million each.

OGRA has fined Rs10 million to Total Parco Pakistan Limited for violating the license terms while Shell Pakistan has been fined Rs10 million for not maintaining oil stock.

Earlier today, Federal Minister for Petroleum Omar Ayub has assured Peshawar High Court that action will be taken against hoarders.

The minister told the court that the petrol companies have constituted a 'mafia' and creating the shortage.
