Paris, France - May 18th, 2015

Le Bourget 2015: SILKAN announces and demonstrates CETRAC switch as the first Ethernet interconnection technology adapted to critical airworthiness.

Since several years Aerospace has been chasing right interconnection solutions to handle the increasing complexity of on board electronic and to optimize harness costs. Announced and presented during the Paris Air Show, CETRAC technology is a strategic innovation that solves connectivity, performance and safety issues with Ethernet protocol.

CETRAC switch is the ideal product for any critical Ethernet Applications as central element of high performance and safe real Time and deterministic Ethernet networks. CETRAC main markets are:

• For the airborne version

o Interconnection of embedded critical systems for A&D and Transport

• For the industrial version

o Industrial critical I&C and automation

o Convergence IT&OT

o Complex Products integration benches

Given the attractiveness of CETRAC technology, SILKAN is already discussing with major worldwide aerospace actors for both on ground and airborne configurations.

CETRAC technology is provided through a range of various products:

• Airworthy switches,
• Industrial switch
• Military rugged switch
• End systems
• IP
SILKAN switch allows both cyclic and event-driven communications in full duplex. Several switches can be connected together to create any kind of flexible architecture for critical systems.

CETRAC Key Innovations are:

• Proven real time determinism
• Full hardware one chip solution
• High bandwidth (up to 1Gpbs)
• 10 Gbps backbone.
• Embeddable in LRU
• Fully compatible with Arinc 664 Part 7 as well as with BAG, windows, protocol policy
