The board of directors of Singamas Container Holdings Limited inform shareholders of the company and potential investors that, based on preliminary assessment of the unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group and information currently available to the Board, the Group is expected to report a consolidated profit of not less than USD 40,000,000 for the financial year ending December 31, 2017 as compared to a loss of USD 59,434,000 attributable to the owner of the company for the financial year ended December 31, 2016. The expected increase in profit for the financial year ending December 31, 2017 is mainly attributable to, growing container demand as a result from the improvement in global economy, rising in international trade and the corresponding pick up in shipping volume, particularly in the People's Republic of China since the end of 2016.
