POSITIVE PROFIT ALERT

This announcement is made pursuant to Rule 13.09(2)(a) of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and the inside information provisions under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

The board (the "Board") of directors (the "Directors") of Singamas Container Holdings Limited (the "Company", together with its subsidiaries, the "Group") wishes to inform shareholders of the Company and potential investors that, based on preliminary assessment of the unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group and information currently available to the Board, the Group is expected to report a consolidated profit of not less than US$40,000,000 for the financial year ending 31 December 2017 as compared to a loss of US$59,434,000 attributable to the owner of the Company for the financial year ended 31 December 2016.

The expected increase in profit for the financial year ending 31 December 2017 is mainly attributable to, growing container demand as a result from the improvement in global economy, rising in international trade and the corresponding pick up in shipping volume, particularly in the People's Republic of China since the end of 2016. The Group's business performance has improved as a consequence of an increase in turnover and gross profit margin for the financial year ending 31 December 2017.

The information contained in this announcement is only based on a preliminary assessment by the management of the Company with reference to the information currently available including the unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group, which have not been reviewed or audited by the Company's auditors and are subject to possible adjustments arising from further review. The annual results of the Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2017 are expected to be announced in March 2018.
