Sinopharm : Nine-Month Net Profit Rose 7.9%

Sinopharm Group Co.'s net profit for the nine months ended September rose 7.9% from a year earlier, helped by higher total operating revenue.

The drug seller posted net profit of 4.96 billion yuan ($742 million) for the period, compared with 4.60 billion yuan a year earlier.

Total operating revenue rose 4.8% to CN327.61 billion from CNY312.69 billion a year ago, said the Chinese company, which mainly engages in the distribution of pharmaceutical and healthcare products.
