SOLARIA ENERGÍA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE, S.A. PUBLISHES A POSITIVE Q3 2016 SET OF RESULTS AND KEEPS ON PUSHING ITS NEW PHASE OF EXPANSION 2016/11/14 SOLARIA ENERGÍA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE, S.A. PUBLISHES A POSITIVE Q3 2016 SET OF RESULTS AND KEEPS ON PUSHING ITS NEW PHASE OF EXPANSION SOLARIA ENERGÍA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE, S.A. ('SOLARIA'), (www.solariaenergia.com), a Spanish company founded in 2002 and listed on the Madrid Stock Exchange, publishes Q3 2016 (January to September 2016) net sales, EBITDA and profit before tax reaching respectively EUR 12,000 k, EUR 10,748 k and EUR 2,931 k. The EBIDA Margin has considerably improved from 77% in Q3 2015 (January to September 2015) to 90% during the same period of 2016. This set of positive and recurring results is reflecting that the new business model focused on renewable energy generation and cost optimization is bearing fruit. The issue and placement of the Globasol Project Bond on May the 25th, 2016 in the MARF (Mercado Alternativo de Renta Fija or Alternative Fixed Income Market) amounting to 45.3 million euros, paying a 4.20% coupon and maturing in January 2037 has allowed to restructure company's debt and endowed Grupo Solaria with an increased investment capacity. The two new photovoltaic plants that the company is building in Uruguay (Yarnel and Natelu), with a nominal power of 19MW (22.7 MWp) will increase Grupo Solaria's perimeter in terms of a MWp by 60%. These two new plants will not only reduce the exposure of Grupo Solaria to the European market in terms of generation capacity, but also will increase the visibility of results and the quality of the generation mix. This first nine months of 2016 mark the beginning of a new growth phase focused on the development and exploitation of new photovoltaic solar parks. Grupo Solaria has an important portfolio of up to 868 MW in development different countries of Latin America and Europe to support this new phase of growth.
