Sony Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (Sony Life), a wholly owned life insurance subsidiary of Sony Financial Holdings Inc., today announced its eighth donation of a solar power generator, 'Sorabear Power Generation Equipment' to a Kindergarten in Fukui prefecture. This donation is a part of the Sorabear Smile Project*managed by the Sorabear Foundation, a non-profit organization engaged in global warming prevention and green power promotion activities.

Sony Life began offering policy guides and agreements on CD-ROM from March 2010, and also on online version which is available on its website from July 2017, aiming at enhancing customers' convenience and a part of environmental protection. Sony Life donates ¥10 for every policyholder who chooses to receive policy guides and agreement on CD-ROM instead of paper documents when they sign up for insurance, and donates the proceeds to the 'Sorabear Foundation.'

Sony Life will continue to participate in environmental conservation activities and support the Sorabear Smile Project.

*A project that encourages children to get involved in environmental conservation by installing Sorabear Power Generation Equipment at kindergartens and nursery schools across Japan via donations from companies and individuals.
