Southern Publishing and Media Co.,Ltd announced earnings results for the nine months ended September 30, 2019. For the nine months, the company announced sales was CNY 4,734.237 million compared to CNY 4,014.632 million a year ago. Operating income was CNY 614.250 million compared to CNY 493.137 million a year ago. Net income was CNY 607.609 million compared to CNY 483.488 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was CNY 0.68 compared to CNY 0.54 a year ago.
Southern Publishing and Media Company Limited is principally engaged in the publishing and distribution of books, newspapers, electronic and audio-visual publications. Its book publications are mainly primary and secondary textbooks, and general books (including supplementary). The Company also involves in editing, publishing, agent, wholesale and retail of electronic publications, network reading materials, framework media and other media products, as well as other businesses, such as books and periodicals printing, packaging and decoration printing, printing supplies sales, import and export of publications and copyright trade, among others.
