Beverly Hills, Calif. - September 30, 2014 - Kevin Kasha, Head of Acquisitions for Starz, announced the recent promotion of C. Brett Marottoli to Vice President, Program Acquisitions.

Based in the company's Colorado headquarters, Marottoli now oversees all movie and TV content programming acquisitions for the company's Starz Networks premium pay television offerings.  She will play a lead role in developing and executing the strategic direction for content licensing and managing studio relations for the associated first-run output and library film content.  In her integrated role, Marottoli is also responsible for content acquisition for the Starz Distribution home video, digital, and worldwide distribution businesses.

"Brett is an invaluable part of the Starz team, having negotiated hundreds of movie and TV content acquisition deals for our Networks business," Kasha said. "In Brett's expanded role, she will bring her talents and expertise to the benefit of all of the businesses in our Networks and Distribution divisions.  For our premium pay TV business, Brett is now identifying and securing content from all of the major studios and independents while continuing to oversee the film, documentary and series submission and evaluation process.  Working collaboratively with our Scheduling and Program Planning groups, Brett's role is essential to the long-standing success we enjoy in populating the STARZ, ENCORE, and MOVIEPLEX premium channels and services with content that resonates with consumers and complements our exclusive STARZ Original series."

In previous roles, Marottoli was a key contributor in developing the company's international content licensing sources and enhancing multicultural program acquisitions.  Prior to joining Starz, Marottoli began her career in the freelance film/TV production arena and enjoyed much success on the film festival circuit.

Marottoli graduated Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts with a BA in English and continued studies at the University of Bourgogne and Oxford University. She studied film at the University of Colorado and earned an MBA from the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business.
