PSA Peugeot Citroen reported audited consolidated earnings results for the year 2012. For the period, the company reported sales and revenue of EUR 55,446 million against EUR 58,509 million a year ago. Recurring operating losses stood at EUR 576 million against recurring operating profit of EUR 1,093 million a year ago.

Operating loss was EUR 4,698 million against operating income of EUR 676 million a year ago. Consolidated loss attributable to equity holders of the parent was EUR 5,010 million or EUR 15.60 per basic share against income of EUR 588 million or EUR 2.64 per basic share a year ago. Net cash from operating activities was EUR 1,417 million against EUR 1,555 million a year ago.

The company blamed the results on a previously announced EUR 4.7 billion asset write down last year and the crisis in the European car market. Net debt was at December 31, 2012 reduced by EUR 211 million to EUR 3,148 million with an automotive division net debt reduced by EUR 712 million to EUR 256 million.
