For the quarter, the company's revenue was MYR 312,692,000 against MYR 169,493,000 a year ago. Operating profit was MYR 106,039,000 against operating loss of MYR 9,803,000 a year ago. Profit before tax was MYR 87,579,000 against loss before tax of MYR 20,005,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to equity holders of the company was MYR 70,894,000 or 4.14 sen per basic and fully diluted share against loss of MYR 17,142,000 or 1.00 sen per basic and fully diluted share a year ago. Profit before tax for the current year's second quarter and period-to-date increased as compared to the preceding year's corresponding period were mainly attributable to better contribution from broking, investment holding, property development and hotel operation divisions.

For the six months period, the company's revenue was MYR 620,047,000 against MYR 367,778,000 a year ago. Operating profit was MYR 238,313,000 against operating loss of MYR 72,549,000 a year ago. Profit before tax was MYR 201,851,000 against loss before tax of MYR 90,738,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to equity holders of the company was MYR 154,111,000 or 9.00 sen per basic and fully diluted share against loss of MYR 97,510,000 or 5.70 sen per basic and fully diluted share a year ago. Net cash generated from operating activities was MYR 20,071,000 against net cash used in operating activities of MYR 12,648,000 a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was MYR 349,011,000 against MYR 34,751,000 a year ago. Profit before tax for the current year's second quarter and period-to-date increased as compared to the preceding year's corresponding period were mainly attributable to better contribution from broking, investment holding, property development and hotel operation divisions. Net assets per share attributable to ordinary equity holders of the parent as on June 30, 2017 was MYR 1.47 against MYR 1.39 as on December 31, 2016.
