Taiheiyo Cement has been selected as the "Supplier Engagement Leader",

the highest rating in the "Supplier Engagement Rating" by CDP

Taiheiyo Cement Corporation (Head Office: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President: Masafumi Fushihara) has, for the first time, been selected as the "Supplier Engagement Leader", the highest rating in the "Supplier Engagement Rating" by CDP, an international environmental NGO.

The "Supplier Engagement Rating" evaluates how effectively a company is engaging its suppliers on climate change issues. The company is assessed thorough its responses to selected questions related to the categories of "Governance", "Targets", "Scope 3 Emissions Accounting", and "Supplier Engagement", in the CDP climate change questionnaire.

Our Group is highly evaluated for our collaborative energy saving efforts with major raw material suppliers, our goal set to reduce CO2 throughout the entire supply chain in the "Carbon Neutral Strategy 2025", our transparent measurement and disclosure of Scope 3 emissions, and our organizational structure to promote them.

Our Group has been also included in CDP's Climate Change evaluation "A List" for 2023 for the second consecutive year.
