Today the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court has dismissed the request from Talpa Holding N.V. (Talpa) and other parties regarding the appointment of one or several independent members of the Supervisory Board with special powers at Telegraaf Media Group N.V. (TMG). The request from the suspended Executive Board members to lift their suspension has also been dismissed by the Enterpirse Chamber. According to the provisional judgement of the Enterprise Chamber there are no reasonable grounds to doubt the proper policymaking and course of events.

According to TMG this ruling by the Enterprise Chamber is an important step towards clarity for the company. This ruling confirms the course and direction chosen by TMG and TMG will focus on the execution of the signed merger protocol with Mediahuis and VP Exploitatie. Furthermore, the Supervisory Board will focus together with the recently appointed interim General Manager Hans Bakker, who is in charge of the daily management at TMG, on creating internal stability during the coming period and thereby enabling all employees to again focus on the products and services offered by TMG to its clients and readers.

Today's ruling by the Enterprise Chamber, as addressed during the court day of 16 March, only relates to the immediate measuresrequested by Talpa. The hearing regarding the request by Talpa for an investigation into the policy-making and the course of events at TMG will be scheduled at a later date. TMG is also confident about the outcome of that procedure.

Further announcements will follow if and when required.
