(Alliance News) - Terna Spa announced on Monday that 23 interventions for the development of the national electricity transmission grid have been authorized by the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security and the relevant regional departments during 2023, for a total value of more than EUR3 billion in investments, up 20 percent from EUR2.5 billion in 2022 and three times more than in 2021.

"This is a new record for the group," the note reads, "confirming Terna's central role in the country's energy transition process and the constant collaboration between the company and institutions.

Also noteworthy in early 2024 is the successful authorization by Mase of the Adriatic Link, the undersea electricity link that will unite Marche and Abruzzo for which Terna will invest around EUR1.3 billion.

Terna's stock trades up 0.2 percent at EUR7.37 per share.
