During a "Women in leadership" keynote at MIPCOM, Bibiane Godfroid, CEO of the Newen Group, which has been committed to diversity and inclusion for many years, announced the creation of a Diversity & Inclusion Committee.

The main mission of this committee will be to coordinate all of the Group's initiatives to promote equity, represent diversity and encourage creativity and innovation. Its composition will be announced soon.

To develop this inclusive culture, Newen is multiplying initiatives that encourage access to training and employment for young talents (scriptwriters, directors, actors, etc.) from different backgrounds*.

The committee will be able to draw on the Group's expertise and initiatives, both in France and internationally, and develop partnerships.

Several themes will be discussed: the promotion of social diversity, the fight against all forms of discrimination and stereotypes, disability, gender equality, etc.

For Bibiane Godfroid, CEO of Newen: "The group's commitment is total, both in front of and behind the camera. Newen has 63% of female managers in its teams. The strength of the group lies in the diversity and parity of its workforce. Newen's goal is to reflect French society."

Today, Newen is proud to be able to share a positive and mirror vision of current society with its audiences, by offering content representative of diversity, in all produced genres.

* In March, Newen France finalized the "Talent Detection" operation in Marseille with the "Cinema Immersion" project in association with the South Region, the Replique, the ERACM (Regional School of Actors of Cannes and Marseille), the association of "les têtes de l'art" and the region's casting directors, including those of the daily drama series Plus belle la vie.

Through the Newen foundation, the group decided to help the European Conservatory of Audiovisual Writing (CEEA) by granting a scholarship to two student screenwriters.
