Mrs. Usanee Sangsingkeo, Acting President of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) clarified that according to the recent news of a THAI staff strike, the Company confirms that there will not be any strike or any event that will affect THAI's services. THAI holds staff and union meetings regularly to respond to any concerns that require attention. The latest staff meeting was held yesterday (9 February 2016), attended by THAI staff and representatives from the union. All attendees understood and acknowledged the 6% salary increase for 2016. As for the special incentive based on employees' performance, consideration is based on the Company's operating result that has not been released. The operating result will be announced towards the end of February after it has been fully audited by the Office of the Auditor General of Thailand (AOG).

THAI confirms that its employees fully understand these issues and is confident that a strike will not occur. However, THAI has a contingency plan in place should a strike occur. All passengers are reassured that THAI's service will not be compromised and that operations will continue as normal.
