NEW YORK, Sept. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, leading global experiential agency Jack Morton Worldwide will be producing a tribute and commemorative event to celebrate the first September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance. The Day was created when President Obama signed the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act which, for the first time, officially recognizes September 11 as a National Day of Service and Remembrance. The day serves to recognize the fact that millions were inspired to serve as a way to heal and rise above the tragic terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001.

The event, hosted by MyGoodDeed and Service Nation, will take place at the venerable Beacon Theatre in New York and features speeches by a host of political luminaries including Secretary Hillary Clinton and New York Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand. The audience, made up of members of the 9/11 community and volunteer service organizations, will also be entertained by the likes of Jimmy Fallon, Gary Sinise, John Ondrasik of Five for Fighting, the Harlem Boys and Girls Choir, Grammy Award winner The Roots and Platinum singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw--all woven around stories of service inspired by the tragedy of 9/11.

Jack Morton is executing and managing all creative and production elements including theme, graphic, print elements, set design and video.

Jack Morton has also created an exhibit for MyGoodDeeds' presence at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. The organization is collaborating with designers to promote awareness of the 9/11 day of service initiative within the fashion community. The designers are also donating pieces from their spring collections for a charity auction benefiting 9/11 organizations.

"We at Jack Morton are inspired to be a part of the first September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance," said Josh McCall, Chairman and CEO of Jack Morton. "Our work for MyGoodDeed, Service Nation and previously for the National September 11 Memorial & Museum is a source of great pride for the agency."
