Maala Organization released today its 2022 Corporate Social Responsibility Ratings at TASE Opening Bell Ceremony

Tel Aviv, Tuesday, July 19, 2022 - Israel's top CEO's assembled this morning (July 19, 2022) in the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) to open the trading on TASE and to mark the release of Maala's 2022 corporate social responsibility ratings, which assess the social and business responsibility of Israel's largest companies. As part of the ceremony, Maala's diversity and inclusion rating, prepared in cooperation with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, was published for the first time.

The distinguished participants of the ceremony included the Minister of Economy and Industry, Orna Barbivai; the Equal Employment Opportunity Commissioner, Mariam Kabaha; the CEO of Maala, Momo Mahadav; Hani Shitrit Bach, EVP and Head of Listings at TASE; and many other market executives.

The Minister of Economy and Industry, Orna Barbivai, said: "the diversity and inclusion rating is an innovative and advanced benchmark for employment diversity in the business sector, which enables companies to implement in-house processes for the measurement, study and improvement of diversity. Diversity has a broad impact, both value-oriented and economic, on the Israeli economy. I congratulate the companies on coming on board this important endeavor."

Maala's CEO, Momo Mahadav, said: "The 2022 rating shows an additional increase in the number of companies that maintain and measure corporate social responsibility and reflects the methodological progress in this field. We believe that the measurement and reporting are critical to progress, especially with regard to social and environmental impact. I commend the rated companies on their achievements and progress."

Hani Shitrit Bach, EVP and Head of Listings at TASE, said: "We, at TASE, value the advancement of ESG and over the past year have dedicated efforts to increasing the public companies' awareness to social, environmental and corporate responsibility and encouraging the development of respective norms. I expect to see many more companies publish ESG reports in the coming years and attract capital investments from both foreign and Israeli investors."
