Thomson Medical Group Limited announced that it has appointed veteran healthcare business leader Lee Suen Ming as CEO of Thomson Medical Singapore, effective November 1, 2023. Mr. Lee takes over from Dr. Daniel Lee, who joined Thomson Medical Singapore in 2018 as Senior Director for Operations and rose through the ranks to assume the CEO position earlier this year. Dr. Lee will remain at Thomson and work alongside incoming CEO Mr. Lee until the end of November to ensure a smooth transition.

Mr. Lee is a well-recognized name in Singapore's healthcare scene, having held CEO positions at Mount Alvernia Hospital, Gleneagles Hospital, Parkway East Hospital, and most recently, the Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital in Saudi Arabia. Over his illustrious career spanning 30 years, Mr. Lee has made a name for himself as a transformational leader in the healthcare industry, drawing from a wealth of experience across strategic business development and operations. As CEO of multiple renowned hospitals, Mr. Lee has implemented new integrated and specialist care services, transformed service standards, and brought new levels of sophistication to complex hospital groups.

As CEO of Thomson Medical Singapore, Mr. Lee will oversee the 187-bed Thomson Medical Centre and a network of over 30 specialist medical clinics and facilities providing outpatient women and children healthcare services and service offerings in fertility, diagnostic imaging, health screening, gynecological oncology, specialist dermatology, traditional Chinese medicine and medical aesthetics. Mr. Lee graduated with an engineering degree from the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London. He received his Master of Business Administration degree in 2007.

Besides the healthcare sector, Mr. Lee was formerly with DBS Bank and had a strategic investments role at Singapore Power. At the national level, he was a Management Committee member for the Singapore Quality Award to promote Business Excellence; and he now serves as a Co-chair of the Technical Committee for Healthcare and Health Informatics, under the Biomedical and Health Standards Committee of Enterprise Singapore.
