Construction of an emergency contact system that integrates telework at the LP Gas Security Reception Center and the acquisition of the first approval in Japan

TOKAI CORPORATION (head office: Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture, President: Oguri Katsuo, hereinafter TOKAI), which operates energy business at 100% of our affiliates, established an emergency contact system that integrates telework at the LP Gas Security Reception Center, in order to take BCP-related measures and to prevent the infection of new corona viruses. This was the first time it obtained authorization* from METI in the country.

• Approval of changes to Article 35 (Safety Service Regulations) of the "Act for Securing the Safety of Liquefied Petroleum Gas and Proper Transactions"

In the security operations mandated by LP gas distributors, TOKAI connected the existing network system of call centers with the IoT terminals which provided to teleworkers through secure dedicated lines, enabling the person in charge to perform work in the same environment as the call center's office.

By providing customers with LP gas safely and continuously, we will continue to fulfill our responsibilities as an LP gas provider, ensure a stable working environment, and strive to ensure that customers can use LP gas with confidence and establish a position.
