TOKYO ELECTRON DEVICE ANNOUNCES THE RELEASE OF 'inrevium SEA',
AN ENERGY-SAVING SYSTEM FOR AIR CONDITIONERS

YOKOHAMA, Japan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tokyo Electron Device Limited ("TED", Head Office: Kanagawa-ku, Yokohama City; President: Atsushi Tokushige) announces the launch of the new "inrevium SEA" (Smart Energy Assist) on July 23, 2015, targeting air-conditioning equipment distributors and building management companies mainly in the ASEAN countries, and also worldwide. inrevium SEA is an energy conservation system designed for air-conditioners that makes it possible to achieve an approximate 20% reduction(*1) in power consumption.

■ Background
In ASEAN countries, where there is a high concentration of all types of production factories, many of them implement production systems that operate 24 hours a day to keep up with the vast amount of production output. With the year-round high temperature and humidity in ASEAN countries, maintaining a comfortable environment indoors makes it necessary to continuously run air conditioning equipment. However, due to the high cost of power in some of these countries there is growing demand for effective power reducing solutions.

Simply by installing the inrevium SEA air conditioner power reduction system onto outdoor air conditioners enables an approximate 20% reduction(*1) in air conditioner equipment power consumption while maintaining the same indoor environment, the cost-saving effects of which are instantly noticeable.

Plans are also in place to implement remote monitoring of power consumption by connecting multiple inrevium SEA units to form a network.

■ Target markets/Sales targets
Targeting building management companies, air-conditioning equipment distributors and contractors both domestically and abroad, the sales targets are 3 million USD for the first year and 30 million USD after three years.
